With nothing more than a dream and a very small pocketbook, Emma's opened in late October 2007. The dream was to build a space which was magically fun. The goal was to provide shoppers with an experience filled with unique items that are "Perfect" for gift giving and fashion.

In late 2009, it became clear that Emma's had outgrown the quaint little basement space. A new location was found only 111 steps away! Moving offBroadway Street onto University was the answer to making the shopping experience more comfortable and accessible to ladies of all ages.
Emma's on University was designed for the addition of new products while creating a shopping destination unlike any other in Historic Downtown Mt. Pleasant.
